WinTV Extend is an Internet video streaming application built into some versions of the WinTV v8 and WinTV v7.2 applications.WinTV Extend takes the live TV signal from any Hauppauge TV tuner and converts the TV signal into a form which is compatible with an iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, PC or Mac computer.
WinTV Extend will take your live TV signal and send it to your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac or PC computer over either a home WiFi connection or over the Internet*. WinTV Extend is a built-in Internet video server for the WinTV v7.2 application. Analog recording options have been added, allowing Good/Better/Best/Fair video qualities.
You can also use the WinTV v7 Scheduler to schedule a recording of your favorite FM radio program on a once only, daily or weekly basis. Note: Game mode is not available on the WinTV-HVR-2250. Game mode can be found in Configuration in the Advanced tab. Game mode allows 'live' video to be displayed without any video encoding delay.
